In a game where a ball can be a no-ball or even a dead ball and with fielding positions like a short leg and silly-midwicket, it is no wonder cricket has not been embraced by Americans. Yet, cricket is the second most popular sport in the world, coming second only to soccer. Often frowned upon as being slow and boring-matches can last for five days and can still end as a draw- authorities are making a concerted effort to liven up the game.
